Environmental Investigations, Drilling

Golars has over 150 projects where we perform environmental investigations to evaluate the concerns to the environment and public by delineating the subsurface soil and groundwater contamination from Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), Diesel Range Organics (DROs) and Gasoline Range Organics (GROs), and other contaminants of concern. Golars field personnel drilled soil borings, installed monitoring wells and conducted quarterly groundwater sampling to regulatory and project requirements.

We have over 50 sites operating various remediation systems and corrective action strategies including In-Situ Air Sparging, Pump and Treat with Soil Vapor Extraction, High Vacuum Dual Phase Extraction, Soil Vapor Extraction, Monitored Natural Attenuation, Injection of Oxygen Release Compound (ORC), and quarterly groundwater monitoring to measure remedial progress. Before we operate the remediation system we conduct a pilot study to assess the maximum radius of influence (ROI), vapor extraction flow rate, groundwater extraction rate, discharge vapor and groundwater concentration and limitations of the equipment for efficiency of the remediation strategy.
