Golars’ recent and sustained growth pattern has created this need for a skilled and reliable project manager to support further organizational growth.

Job Description: Project Manager - LUST

Job Purpose: Manage and conduct assessment, investigation and remediation activities for leaking underground storage tank (LUST) projects. Complete environmental projects by organizing and controlling project elements.

• Bachelors Degree in engineering, geology or science.
• 5-9 years experience with leaking underground storage tank investigations and remediation.
• Proven ability to perform field work, write reports and manage multiple sites in a quality manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage schedules within budget.
• Proven ability to maintain good relationships with clients and create momentum sales.
• Working knowledge of Indiana (IDEM) environmental regulations required.
  
• Experience with Kentucky (KDEP) environmental regulations preferred.
  
• Working knowledge with design and operation of active remediation systems (SVE, P&T, DPE, etc.) preferred
  
• PG or CHMM preferred.
  
• Masters degree preferred.

1. Develops project objectives by preparing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
2. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
3. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
4. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
5. Meets project financial objectives by preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
6. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
7. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
8. Performs and thoroughly documents field work activities for environmental projects in using tools of the trade and, directs other staff in the accomplishment of required project tasks.
9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
