  • Location: GOLARS LLC – Indianapolis, IN
  • Job Description: This Environmental Field Technician will conduct required sampling and monitoring of site specific objectives. This position will also evaluate, maintain and make repairs to equipment that is on site.
  • Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, geology, or engineering is required

    • Trade school apprenticeships or certificates
    • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence
    • Certifications desired
    • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training
    • Strong mechanical skills
    • Strong time management skills
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently, using knowledge gained from increasing experience
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with project managers and management at all levels
    • Self-sufficient and ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Responsibilities and Duties for Success:
    • Collect soil, groundwater and vapor samples for laboratory analysis
    • Well purging and development
    • Decontamination and site clean up
    • Taking precision measurement
    • Manage waste derived from remediation systems, including recovered oil, sludge, activated carbon, filter paper, and personal protection equipment (PPE) in accordance with project requirements
    • Provide detailed status of remediation equipment to project managers
    • Keep precise and very detailed records of events and actions taken on site
    • Must have the ability to follow directions to great detail
    • Accurate documentation on spacing and distances
    • Perform routine operation and maintenance (O&M) tasks for soil vapor extraction (SVE), dual phase extraction (DPE), and pump and treat remediation systems
    • Maintain and repair equipment by tightening fittings; draining and cleaning of remediation vessels; and replacing valves, packing, bag filters, gaskets, gauges, etc.; and oiling and lubricating other component parts as required
    • Open and close valves, circuit breakers, and control panel switches as required for proper system operation and isolation of energy sources
    • Troubleshoot and resolve remediation system malfunctions
    • Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration logs

  • Job Description: This position is responsible to manager the project from inception to closure for an environmental remediation site. The individual for this position should be able to handle all phases of the remediation project to include not only the phases but also the scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, documentation, technical writing and client relations aspects of the project.
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, geology, or engineering is required
    • 8+ years’ experience in site investigation and remediation activities
    • Proven ability with pilot testing, design and/or operation of active remediation systems (SVE, P&T, DPE, etc.)
    • Proven ability to perform field work, write reports and manage multiple sites in a quality manner
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • LPG or PE preferred
    • CHMM preferred

    • Manage and conduct environmental assessments, investigation and remediation activities for environmental remediation projects
    • Complete environmental projects by organizing and controlling project elements
    • Develops project objectives by preparing project proposals and plans and conferring with management

  • Job Description: This is a Staff Level Position that will assist with Field Technical Work and Project Managerment. Some work required for this position will consist of sample collection, interpretation of lab result, trending, documentation, technical writing and assisting in all aspects of Project Management. The function of this position will be to assist and support the Project Managers to gain knowledge and experience to enable them to take over projects going forward.

    • General Administration
    • Conduct research to prepare, gather and proof materials, agenda and PowerPoint decks for executive level meetings
    • Attend and administer routine staff meetings, tracking key milestones and coordinating schedules
    • Develop and maintain an alert system for upcoming deadlines on incoming requests and events
    • Manage travel arrangements and coordinate pre-planning of trips and conference registrations
