Senior Project Manager - Environmental (Indiana)

Job Purpose:
This position is responsible to provide technical advise for the projects. Should be able to manage projects from inception to delivery and support other project managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, geology or chemistry
  • 10-25 years' experience in site investigation and remediation activities
  • Proven ability with pilot testing, design and operation of active remediation systems (SVE, P&T, DPE, etc.)
  • System effectiveness evaluation experience
  • Proven ability to perform field work, write reports and manage multiple sites in a quality manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage schedules within budget
  • Working knowledge of IDEM and IEPA regulations
  • Should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • PG or PE preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct environmental assessments, investigation and remediation activities for environmental remediation projects. Complete environmental projects by organizing and controlling project elements
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
  • Meets project financial objectives by preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
  • Performs and thoroughly documents field work activities for environmental projects in using tools of the trade and, directs other staff in the accomplishment of required project tasks
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Environmental O & M Technician

Job Purpose:
An Environmental and Remediation Services company based in Fishers, Indiana is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to maintain and repair remediation systems on project sites. Compensation will depend upon skill level and experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine operation and maintenance (O&M) tasks for soil vapor extraction (SVE), dual phase extraction (DPE), and pump and treat remediation systems
  • Perform non-routine O&M tasks in response to unexpected spills and/or emergencies
  • Maintain and repair equipment by tightening fittings; draining and cleaning of remediation vessels; and replacing valves, packing, bag filters, gaskets, gauges, etc.; and oiling and lubricating other component parts as required
  • Open and close valves, circuit breakers, and control panel switches as required for proper system operation and isolation of energy sources
  • Troubleshoot and resolve remediation system malfunctions
  • Set up and operate various tools and instruments to repair and maintain parts and equipment
  • Collect soil, groundwater and vapor samples for laboratory analysis
  • Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration logs
  • Be able to conduct onsite discharge permit compliance checks
  • Manage waste derived from remediation systems, including recovered oil, sludge, activated carbon, filter paper, and personal protection equipment (PPE) in accordance with project requirements
  • Provide detailed status of remediation equipment to project managers
